Usdan Center offers several types of aid to its students.
Scholarship for Merits are awarded based on competitive audition. They are for students in grades 9-12 this year, and planning to major in Concert Band, Orchestra, Chorus, or Jazz Ensemble. Applicants must be able perform music on the NYSSMA Grade 6 level.
Internships: Music Staff Internships, or MSI's - Art Staff Internships, or ASI's - Dance Staff Internships, or DSI's - Theater Staff Internships, or TSI's. These internships are awarded to a small number of advanced students currently in grades 11 or 12. Student interns attend regular classes and perform with Usdan's ensembles (if applicable.) They also have campus responsibilities that are assigned by the Director of Student Leadership Programs. An interview, and an audition or portfolio review are required.
Tuition Aid is for families who show financial need. An application is required, along with supporting documentation. The application is reviewed and grants are awarded ranging from small to more substantial. Grants are available only toward tuition expenses (not transportation) and are only available for students studying in the 7-week program.
For an application, download the forms on the left side of this page, or call one of Usdan' offices: (631) 643-7900 or (212) 772-6060.
