The founders of Usdan Center believed that study in the arts inspires creativity, accomplishment, and tolerance. These were lofty goals when the Center opened in 1968, and 40 years later we can be proud that 50,000 Usdanites have realized them by conquering artistic challenges, by embracing the arts as a daily companion, and by celebrating beauty and diversity. In 2008, another class of young people will join us to experience the joy of creative exploration. Inspired by a talented, dedicated, and sympathetic faculty, they will become members of a community of like-minded children and adults who, like our pioneers of 1968, will embark on a journey of discovery, one that will provide abundant joy throughout their lives.
I invite you to become one of these young people, and to live your own Usdan dream next summer. You’ll learn new skills, establish lifetime friendships, and have lots of fun. In the magic that happens at Usdan, you will live the Center’s motto: Lose yourself for a Summer. Find yourself for a Lifetime.
