A student art show titled Duality opened at a Manhattan art space on Tuesday. The exhibit includes paintings and mixed-media works and had an opening reception on February 12th. The show will run from February 12- March 8, 2013 at the 430 Park Avenue Lobby Gallery at the corner of 56th Street. The exhibit is free and open to the public daily from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

On the last day of the 2012 season, 33 students and 9 faculty members were honored for having reached "Lifer" status at Usdan.

The Daily Dot has selected Usdan composer Emily Morris as one of its top 5 composers in the Metropole (Netherlands) Orchestra's recent Twitter "composition competition." Emily is a member of Usdan's summer administrative staff, and she is Usdan's Tweeter-in-Chief.

An oil portrait of the late Suzanne Lemberg Usdan has been given to the Center by Dr. Jerrold Ross, a member of the Board of Trustees and the Board's former President.

Have you noticed the many and varied sculptures on Usdan's campus? The Center owns many works of art, some in the Hexter Museum and others in the Goetz Gallery. Within this collection are six outdoor sculptures created by distinguished artists.

Yesterday, the organic gardening and simple food majors were able to taste the fruits of their labor while attending a unique instructional cooking class taught by Chef Richard LaMarita of the Natural Gourmet Institute for Health and the Culinary Arts.

Marianne Freeman and "Bootstrap" Bill Jones have been working together at the Usdan pools for almost a decade, and have known each other for over 20 years because of their common roots in Great River, NY.

Usdan students will bid farewell to the Tokyo String Quartet when this world famous ensemble presents its final performance at the Center on July 16th.

Marilyn Lehman, the Center’s longtime Jr. Chorus pianist, and an Adjunct Associate Professor of Music at Hofstra University, has been reunited at Usdan with her former Hofstra student, Rob Lombardo. Rob is a studio pianist in the Centers’ Dance Department.
