Usdanites Unite
Top: Emily and Peter Sticco. Middle: Karen and Andrew DiMartino.
Bottom: "Super" Sienna; Daughter of Allison Solomon and Derek Mainhart.
Six members of the Usdan Center family celebrated joyous events in March, when two Usdan weddings and the birth of a new Usdanite were celebrated as a result of student and faculty friendships established at Usdan. Allison Solomon, a member of the Art Department faculty, and her husband Derrick Mainhart, also a member of the Art faculty, met at the Center and are proud parents of a new Usdanite, baby Sienna. And two couples who met their spouses as students at Usdan were married in March. They are Karen Lehman DiMartino and Andrew DiMartino, and Emily DeSimone Sticco and Peter Sticco.
Emily and Peter spent a portion of their wedding day at the Center when, following their ceremony, their vintage Rolls Royce arrived on campus for lovely photos that were taken in the Music Department, where Emily was a student and later an Assistant Teacher, and where Peter was a trumpet student. Later that same day, Karen and Andrew were married nearby, and their reception featured Karen’s performance of “So In Love” from Kiss Me Kate, the Rep Theater show in which she and Andrew appeared years earlier. Karen is now the Conductor of our Senior Choruses, and Andrew is an advertising executive. Emily is a professional flutist, and Peter is a physician. Congratulations to our happy couples!
