Usdan Center for the Arts is a not-for-profit summer day school for the performing and visual arts. Now in its 48th Season, the Center is situated on a magnificent 200-acre woodland on Long Island. Welcome to Usdan!

Student Art Exhibits in Manhattan Through May 2015

Usdan is presenting three student art exhibits in Manhattan this spring. Two shows will hang at the lobby gallery at 430 Park Avenue during March and April, and the third at UJA-Federation on 59th Street in May. This is the largest series of off-site exhibits yet presented by Usdan students. The artists whose work is to be displayed were ages 10-18 when their works were created during the 2014 season. Usdan friends celebrate Martin Luther King

Roger Tilles, New York State Regent for Long Island and a longtime Usdan sustainer, sponsored an interfaith service to launch Martin Luther King weekend on Long Island. Full story

Remembering John Kuhn

John Kuhn passed away recently at the age of 99. John’s wife, Erica, was Usdan’s longtime “campus Mom” who was beloved by generations of Usdanites during the Center’s early years.John was a vibrant and engaging musician, a teacher of singing who, until just two weeks ago was preparing his students for their spring recital. 2015 Fanfare

Registration continues for the 48th Season with new program options that will add breadth to the Center’s curriculum, while new calendar options will accommodate more families’ summer plans. Additions include Yoga, Quidditch, Architecture Design, Hip-Hop, Legos, expanded Sewing & Fashion Design, and Lifeguarding. Full story
